SustainHealth is seeking an experienced Anaesthetic/Recovery Registered Nurse for a Permanent position at a prestigious Private Hospital in Canberra, ACT.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Anaesthetic/Recovery Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation and management of patients during anaesthetic and recovery phases
Monitoring and assessing patients' vital signs during anaesthesia and recovery, ensuring patient safety
Collaborating with the healthcare team to manage the care of patients pre- and post-operatively
Maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict infection control protocols
Administering medications and treatments under the direction of the Anaesthetist
Providing emotional support to patients and their families during the surgical journey


About You:

Full registration with AHPRA with no restrictions
Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Anaesthetic and/or Recovery nursing
In-depth knowledge of anaesthetic procedures, monitoring equipment, and post-operative care
Proven ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Valid Police Check & Working with Children Check
Full working rights in Australia
