Role Overview
This role is part of UNITE, our business-led, tech-enabled transformation delivering simplification and benefits for our customers, employees and shareholders.
We are reimagining our digital platforms to deliver the best customer experience in the market, and you could be part of a team that is instrumental in delivering cutting-edge technology into the hands of millions of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver world-class products for the Westpac Digital platform.
Write clean, high-quality code and build applications following best practices.
Design REST APIs using Open API Swagger specifications, adhering to REST API design guidelines.
Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex service issues to ensure effective development, maintenance, and support.
Keep code free from vulnerabilities by performing regular npm audits and sonar scans.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to engineers, and contribute to the growth of our engineering community through guilds and programs.
What We Offer
You'll play a significant part of the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years.
Our purpose is to create better futures together.
Flexible working arrangements, including a hybrid model with two days a week in the office.
Generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers.
A supportive culture that values diversity and flexibility – and champions inclusion.
Requirements
Full Stack Expertise: Proven experience in developing customer-facing enterprise-level desktop and mobile applications.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of .NET technology stack (C#, WCF, MVC, APIs) and front-end languages/libraries (HTML, CSS, React/Redux, NodeJS, jQuery, Knockout).
Database & Tools: Experience with relational databases (Microsoft t-SQL), non-relational databases, and common development tools (Git, Bitbucket, Powershell, Sonar).
CI/CD & Agile: Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins) and Agile development methodologies using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Problem Solving & Communication: Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Team Player & Innovator: Must be a team player, stay updated with the latest technology trends, and bring innovative ideas to life.
