THE OPPORTUNITY

Stratco is seeking a motivated and professional Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Ormeau. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting accounting and administrative functions, ensuring smooth financial operations across Stratco QLD.

This role will be ideal for someone with three years or more of commercial accounting experience looking to advance their career.

Responsibilities

Completion of monthly accounting procedures within the required deadlines
Preparation of monthly P&L
Preparation of annual budgets
Maintain GL journal entries ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Reconcile accounts as required
Analysis of financial results and provision of proactive feedback to the management team
Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts
Attend stock counts and ensure stock valuations are conducted in line with the corporate policies
Prepare daily operating reports
Monthly BAS returns and assist with FBT returns, working closely with the Corporate Finance Team to ensure taxation and reporting requirements are met
Provide additional assistance to the Financial Controller and Management Accountants within the finance team as needed

About You

Essential - Degree qualified in accounting
Desirable - CA or CPA
Desirable - Minimum 3 years’ commercial experience
Desirable - Manufacturing or Building industry experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with Peach, MYOB and Oracle is advantageous
Detail oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines
Eager to learn and grow within a supportive finance team
