Job Overview
A Clinical Advisor at the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission plays a pivotal role in enhancing the safety, health, and well-being of individuals receiving aged care. As a key member of the Chief Clinical Advisor division, you will provide expert clinical advice and support to regulatory staff to ensure high-quality care standards are maintained across the sector.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide timely and targeted written and verbal clinical advice to regulatory staff to inform their decision-making
- Analyse and interpret complex evidence from various sources to identify clinical risks and deficiencies in care
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage risk and address Commission priorities
- Develop and execute innovative solutions to improve Unit systems and processes
- Lead and contribute to clinical-related projects, providing clinical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to other registered nurses
Key Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Demonstrated current knowledge and experience in clinical issues and clinical risk in residential and/or community aged care settings
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including proficient use of MS Office products
