Software Engineer - AWS & Azure Expertise (Contract)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with experience in AWS and Azure to join our team for a contract position. You will play a key role in configuring and setting up our AWS platform environment for an eGain migration, ensuring it is optimized for performance, security, and scalability. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and other team members.

Responsibilities:
• Configure and set up the AWS platform environment to meet organizational requirements and prepare for migration.
• Optimize the platform for performance, security, and scalability.
• Provide technical support, write Python widgets, and troubleshoot issues during the setup phase.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure contractor roles align with the evolving needs of the migration process.

Required Skills:
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience with AWS, Spark, Glue, Python, Data migration

Preferred Skills:
• Recent Financial Services experience
• Proficiency in Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure application development skills across multiple technologies and design techniques.
• Working proficiency with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure development toolsets for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working within common frameworks.
• Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency, and security.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• Working proficiency in various software engineering disciplines, including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of software.
