The Android Developer Experience team builds all necessary infrastructure and tools to ensure Block's Android development can continue to be fast and efficient at scale
Responsibilities
As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our mobile development team
You'll lead a team of senior engineers responsible for our entire development stack (build system, build tools, IDE, CI platform)
Your focus will be on improving both the local IDE and CI experience when working within our massive and modularized monorepo codebase
As the Engineering Manager, your goal will be to accelerate our delivery of a fast and efficient developer experience with our cross-functional partners at Gradle, Google, and Jetbrains
Establish the technical direction for the team and lead them to achieve it
Collaborate across the broader Developer Experience team to provide a fast, easy, safe, and consistent developer ecosystem for all engineers at Block
Grow the team by hiring and developing engineers, promoting engineering decisions, and applying your technical and managerial expertise to constantly raise the bar
