We represent a leading provider of construction, infrastructure and facility services across the energy & utilities and transport sectors. They are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join their front-end transactional-focused team.



The Team



This highly respected business is recruiting for an experienced transactional lawyer to join their in-house Legal team based in Sydney.



The team is headed by a group of senior lawyers who have been exposed to various sectors within the construction practice area, with this expertise having the capacity to assist your career development.



You will be responsible for offering transactional legal support, with your key responsibilities focusing on providing support on the company's bids and tenders across a range of projects and industries including major social infrastructure, energy including renewables, utilities and telecommunications.



Additionally, you will provide legal assistance to project governance initiatives and where appropriate, report to project governance bodies/forums.

Requirements



The successful candidate will most likely have 8 + years post-admission experience, preferably in front-end construction from a highly regarded law firm or leading construction company. Experience across the utilities sector (power, water, telecommunications and renewables) is desirable.

strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise with legal and other professionals and clients as necessary
superior analytical and drafting skills
ability to work effectively with clients
the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
ambition with a desire to excel in your career.
