Underground Maintenance Mechanic

This position requires employees that are self-motivated, possess good communication skills at all levels, have a proficient working knowledge of maintenance processes, and are willing to take on challenges. Must be able to perform on a high performance work team with minimal supervision and actively demonstrate and encourage participation in the Sisecam values time.

Minimum Requirements:
• Understanding of mining systems and processes
• 3 years of experience or 2 years of formal education in industrial maintenance.
• Measurement, hydraulics, bearings, drive systems, fasteners, gaskets, gears, hoist operation, electrical, and welding.
• Basic computer skills
• Experience in operation and maintenance of internal combustion engines and mobile equipment including diesel engines.
• Must be self-motivated and able to perform on a high-performance work team with minimal supervision.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting schematics/blueprints.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Preferred: Wyoming Underground Mine Foreman's Certification
• Able to meet physical demands of the position (lift 50 lbs., rotating shift work, color perception, recognize warning alarms, fine motor skills and climb ladders and stairways).
