Collections Technician

Job Title: Collections Technician (Casual)

Work with ACMI to support digitisation, preservation, programming and innovation projects plus the ongoing management of the ACMI Collection.

This role involves supporting registration and conservation activities, maintaining and storing works, as well as handling and playback of audio-visual materials.

Key Responsibilities
Digitise and preserve film and magnetic tape video materials
Maintain and store works in the ACMI Collection
Support registration and conservation activities
Handle and playback audio-visual materials
Requirements
Qualifications relevant to film and video preservation or equivalent training and experience working with audio-visual materials
Demonstrated experience with film and magnetic tape video handling and maintenance of associated equipment
Experience with or knowledge of film and magnetic tape video digitisation processes and video editing software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Well-developed administrative and organisational skills
