Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team at St Vincent's Health Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the histopathology team, maintaining laboratory equipment, and contributing to the production of high-quality diagnostic reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the histopathology team in the examination and processing of specimens
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its optimal performance
Contribute to the preparation of laboratory reagents and supplies
Assist with the classification and filing of specimens
Participate in quality control and assurance activities
Requirements:

Strong foundation in biological sciences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Demonstrated knowledge of routine histopathology laboratory practices
