Design Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and oversee the efficient delivery of high-quality technical outputs. This leadership role offers an experienced engineering professional the opportunity to drive sustainable infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage design teams to deliver accurate and timely technical outputs, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.
Develop and implement design delivery strategies, monitoring project milestones and managing risk, cost, and schedules.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective design solutions, providing regular project updates and reports.
Promote safety and sustainability across all engineering designs, ensuring compliance with safety and sustainability standards.
Inspire and lead high-performing teams, optimizing design solutions and driving continuous improvement across projects.
Manage the development and continuous improvement of engineering processes, systems, and documentation templates.
Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and effective communication across teams to support collaborative project delivery.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
Professional engineering qualification (e.g., B.Eng) in a relevant discipline.
Proven experience in engineering design, design review, and infrastructure standards.
Strong leadership presence with a demonstrated ability to inspire and manage teams.
Experience in strategic planning and the ability to implement effective design delivery strategies.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
Experience in technical report writing and auditing designs.
Desirable:
Associate Diploma in Project Management or Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or related fields.
Experience in the auditing of engineering reports and designs.
