Cloud Engineer

Essential criteria

1. Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Engineer preferably within a highsecurity or Government environment with a strong track record of designing and implementing secure network solutions.

2. Indepth knowledge of network protocols network security and industry standards with advanced skills in firewall configurations VPNs and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

3. Handson experience with leading networking technologies and solutions from vendors such as Cisco Fortinet Palo Alto HP and Aruba.

4. Proficiency in Routing & Switching Firewalls Wireless Networking WAN & SDWAN and Security Appliances including but not limited to: Security Appliances (e.g. IPS/IDS Aruba Clearpass Cisco ISE MFA) Log Management (Syslog SIEM) Cloud Networking (Azure & AWS environments).

5. Experience conducting risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats. Ability to create clear detailed network design documents diagrams and protocols to support architectural decisions and ensure compliance with industry standards.

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and liaise with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Proven analytical and problemsolving skills to identify diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly and effectively.

Desirable criteria

1. Experience working in a Commonwealth Government context.
