Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality service. The Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure their optimal performance, safety, and reliability.


Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles according to starkenns safety system. .
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify Power source, Acceleration & brake unit.
Install the system in all types of vehicles (Commercial, Heavy Duty & Passenger) and make a document of it. That means how each part of the system will be installed on the vehicle without tampering the vehicle’s electrical circuit and also without damaging the vehicle.
Repair or replace faulty systems and components.
The candidate would be expected to install the complete system in a bus/truck - make sure the system installation is perfect without damaging other electrical wires.
Use starkenn’s diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are conducted according to manufacturer's specifications and industry standards.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain system & its safety benefits
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Collaborate with other team members and provide assistance when needed to maintain efficient workflow.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal mechanic training program is preferred.
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in vehicles.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software for accurate assessments.
Solid understanding of automotive systems, components, and technical specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to interact with customers, team members and drivers effectively.
Physical ability to lift heavy parts and equipment, and to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are a plus.

Work Environment: The Technician will work primarily in an automotive repair shop setting, which may involve exposure to various types of tools, equipment, and vehicle fluids. The role requires standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects. The candidate may interact with customers, providing them with updates and explanations regarding vehicle repairs.
