Your Role
As our new Software Developer at Vertigrate Pty Ltd, you will be an integral part of our development team, working on both the front-end and back-end of our systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust applications that power our international ticketing platform. Your expertise in a wide range of technologies is essential to ensure our solutions remain scalable, secure, and at the forefront of the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable web (front/back-end) and mobile applications.
Design, code, test, and deploy full-stack solutions using modern frameworks and languages.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver innovative features.
Implement best practices for security, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation of workloads.
Troubleshoot and optimise existing systems to enhance performance and user experience.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our platform.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience: Minimum 3 years in software development with a full stack focus.
Mobile Development (Desired):
Native iOS/Android development experience using Xcode and Android Development Studio.
Flutter experience is highly desired.
Cloud Certification: Must hold the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or better (AWS Professional or Solutions Architect preferred).
Technical Proficiency:
PHP 7 & 8:
Proficiency in Laravel (versions 6, 10, and 11).
Experience with Eloquent ORM and Octane.
JavaScript/TypeScript:
Expertise in Vue (versions 2 and 3).
Proficiency with Nuxt (versions 3 and 4).
Experience with NodeJS and Bun.
Advanced CSS:
Strong skills in CSS, including experience with frameworks such as Tailwind.
Web Services & Servers:
Experience with NGINX and AWS API Gateway.
Python:
Demonstrated proficiency in Python programming.
MySQL:
Solid understanding of MySQL, including intermediate knowledge of database servers and TSQL.
Desired experience with Aurora Serverless.
Containerisation:
Practical experience with Docker and AWS ECS.
CI/CD Pipelines:
Experience with tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.
Security:
A strong grasp of security best practices in software development.
