AUSPAN are now inviting a Design Manager to join our small tight knit team to assist with the delivery of remote building projects. As our Design Manager, you will oversee the entire design process, ensuring that our structures meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. You will manage and mentor a team of Architectural Designers and Steel Designers.



The Main Responsibilities Would Include:

· Lead and manage the design team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs

· Develop and implement design standards and processes for efficiency and accuracy

· Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth workflow from concept to completion

· Oversee design compliance with Australian building codes and engineering requirements

· Innovate and optimise designs for structural integrity and cost-effectiveness

· Engage with clients, suppliers, and engineers to ensure project success



About You – Skills and Experience

Our ideal candidate is someone who can bring the following to the role:

· A degree or diploma in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field

· Experience in structural steel building design (preferably sheds or industrial buildings)

· Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team

· Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar)

· Knowledge of Australian construction codes and compliance standards

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Strong communication and collaboration skills
