Blockchain Engineer

NXT GIG is seeking an experienced Blockchain Engineer to join our innovative technology team. As a Blockchain Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing blockchain solutions that leverage distributed ledger technology to enhance our products and services. You will work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable blockchain applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and cryptographic principles, as well as experience in programming languages such as Solidity or JavaScript. Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain blockchain protocols and smart contracts to support business applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define blockchain solutions
Conduct research and analysis on new blockchain technologies and frameworks to stay ahead of industry trends
Ensure the security and integrity of blockchain applications and data through best practices
Integrate blockchain solutions with existing applications and workflows to enhance functionality
Perform thorough testing and debugging of blockchain applications to ensure performance and reliability
Document system processes and provide training and support to team members as needed


Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on distributed ledger technologies
Solid understanding of blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Bitcoin)
Experience developing smart contracts using languages such as Solidity or JavaScript
Familiarity with cryptographic principles and security best practices in blockchain development
Strong programming skills and experience with development frameworks and tools related to blockchain
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for innovation and new technologies
