Trial Attorney, Plaintiff, Brain Injury

PAY: Salary up to $165,000 + percent of receivables

SEATTLE/BELLEVUE AREA APPLICANTS ONLY

We are a Plaintiff boutique law firm focused almost entirely on brain injury cases seeking a litigation associate. You will handle cases from intake to end but focus primarily on discovery, motion practice, and trial. Excellent research, writing, and oral argument skills required. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in not only trial advocacy but also in learning the science and medicine behind a brain injury case.
Almost all cases involve traumatic brain injury, so you must be able to work with this population. They may get angry and be irritable, forgetful, tearful, depressed...but few rewards compare to helping them.
Pay is depending on experience.
40 hrs/wk
Work from home until we move to office space in Renton or Bellevue.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Highest level of organizational skills are required to ensure all deadlines are met.
Handle your own cases from beginning to end.
Oversee discovery, draft complaint and motions, and argue them in court.
Communicate directly with clients
QUALIFICATIONS

You must have the:

Highest ethical standards, and be a
Team player who is easy to work with. Good results flow from good team work.
Ability to document deadlines with redundancy
Ability to work with deadlines, and ability to give sufficient notice if you will be unable to meet a deadline.
Highest verbal communication skills, as well as of course written.
Ability to use software like MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Exceptional compassion and patience: our clients are broken. You will be working directly with and helping them through the worst time of their lives, which can be the most rewarding part of the work we do but it requires a special kind of compassion and patience.
Desire to stay for many years.
