Job Summary
This Catering Assistant position involves delivering high-quality catering services to our residents at CHT Onewa in Birkenhead, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and meets their dietary needs.
Main Responsibilities
Prepare and present food, including portioning and plating.
Provide excellent customer service to all residents.
Maintain clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas, including cleaning tables, floors, and equipment.
Understand dietary restrictions and special diets to ensure optimal resident food preferences are met.
Communicate effectively with team members and residents to ensure a high level of service.
Key Requirements
Experience in a similar role with good communication skills.
A flexible approach and attitude, being a good team player.
Physical fitness and reliability.
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a catering environment and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) are desirable.
