Job Description
Job Summary
This role involves providing technical expertise to management and delivering high voltage substation testing works safely, efficiently and effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
Work with management to plan and agree on work objectives
Scope jobs effectively and identify influencing factors
Evaluate plant and equipment for compliance, functionality and safety
Support estimating of works to ensure accurate pricing
Interpret technical drawings and specifications
Perform audits and quality checks
Communicate job methodologies and approach clearly
Seek alternative ideas to improve efficiency and cost savings
About You
To succeed in this role, you will hold a current practising licence and have strong knowledge of relevant codes of practice, policies and standards.
You will also demonstrate:
Proven technical experience in high voltage zone substations environment
Experience with Omicron or similar test equipment
Able to test protection relays, current transformers and power transformers
Relevant trade qualification or Diploma
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relations
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
A willingness to take ownership of tasks and lead by example
