Job Description
This is a full-time role based in Whangarei at our main office, and will involve regular visits to client sites. There is flexibility for some work from home.
You will work closely with our Account Managers, System Engineers and other team members to help design and implement reliable network and ICT solutions for both our clients and internal IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
Project Work – Short and/or long term client engagements to deliver network solutions
Architecture & Product Development – Implement new technologies to develop and bring to market new network and security services
Technical Support – Provide ongoing technical support for clients and act as an escalation point for complex issues
Administration – Regularly maintain job notes, time entries and documentation
Consultancy - Analysing problems or customer environments and providing detailed reports and solutions
Core Skills and Technologies
Deep understanding and experience of designing, implementing and troubleshooting networks including switching and routing, dynamic routing protocols, WAN technologies, segmentation, Wifi and quality of service
A CCNP level of knowledge and significant experience in one or more major vendor spaces – Cisco, HPE, Juniper, Mikrotik, Aruba
A security first ethos with knowledge of security standards and processes
Advanced knowledge and experience in implementing and configuring firewall technologies
Confidence and experience in presenting reports and solutions to clients both in person and in written form
Advantageous Skills and Attributes
Microsoft stack of server based products including Windows Server, SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, Remote Desktop
Cloud products including Azure Active Directory & Microsoft 365
Experience working with Linux based systems
Experience working with IT security products
