London Tideway Tunnels Control Room Operator
This is an exciting opportunity to commission and operate the largest wastewater tunnel system in the UK.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a London Tideway Tunnels Control Room Operator. This role will be responsible for the overall operation of the London Tideway Tunnels, Greenwich Sewage Pumping Station, Abbey Mills SPS, and the Tideway PS (including the flow and storm transfer systems).

Key Responsibilities:
Protecting the River Thames from combined sewer overflows.
Monitoring SCADA and identifying non-availability of key assets to ensure preparedness ahead of adverse weather.
Responsible for the overall operation of the London Tideway Tunnels (LTT), Greenwich Sewage Pumping Station (SPS), Abbey Mills SPS, and the Tideway PS (including the flow and storm transfer systems).
Monitoring weather patterns and assessing weather forecasts to activate different modes of operation.
Responding to specific reactive situations to mitigate risk, catchment flooding, or impact on the environment.
Requirements:
Experience in user process control is desirable.
Experience using similar SCADA or GIS systems is desirable.
Knowledge of Water Industry and Wastewater Network Operations, including Combined Sewer Overflows, Storm Relief Sewers, and Pumping Stations is desirable.
A basic understanding of Hydraulic Systems.
Ability to accurately analyse data and present conclusions.
Excellent Communications Skills, both written and verbal.
Proactive, organised, and methodical approach.
Fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Competent with IT systems, Excel, Word, email, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work and make key decisions under demanding situations.

Salary up to £3+,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
