Base pay range

$45,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

Objective:

Employer is a leading garment manufacturer with vertically integrated operations that include fabric knitting, dyeing/finishing and garment production. The Fashion Design Lead will be based in London, providing design support and acting as the bridge between factory and UK buyers.

Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seek design inspiration.
• Manage the design process from conception through to final styling.
• Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to the line, and create new concepts.
• Ensure products align with the business strategy.
• Select fabrics and trims.
• Collaborate with technical designers to ensure development packages are accurate.
• Review products for style and fit during presentations.
• Present storyboards, mood boards, color boards, and samples to buyers.
• Attend meetings during buyer visits and attend buyer meetings at the London office when required.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, fine arts or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of fashion design experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to create hand-drawn sketches, strong sense of style and color, and excellent design and conceptual skills.
• Availability to travel for research and product development.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
