Job Description

Summary:
• You need a law degree, 3-7 years in commercial/TMT/IP&IT law, strong drafting/negotiation skills, a commercial mindset, interest in innovation, legal English, and the ability to work under pressure.
• You will support innovation programs, advise on legal compliance, negotiate contracts, facilitate vendor agreements, and manage risks while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external counsels.

In this role you’ll / Your main responsibilities

Support to Innovation Programs (Nexwave, Lift, A4D)

Product counselling
• Explore, understand and advise projects under Nexwave incubation process (from discovery to validation phase) or Lift Incubation Process;
• Actively collaborate and advise on the design and conception of new business models and products and solutions in line with Amadeus growth strategy;
• Provide active legal support on the implementation of GenAI initiatives in compliance with the requirements of the AI Act;
• Work with internal Legal stakeholders to ensure compliance-by-design (Privacy, AI, Regulatory, IP, Risk Management, Tax etc.);
• Collaborate with BU lawyers (HOS and TRU) and contract managers (as required) to prepare excubation phase;
• Advise on business strategy in light of legal requirements;
• Act proactively to identify risk issues as part of Nexwave incubation lifecycle or Lift Incubation;
• Document and develop the necessary supporting documents, templates, analysis, etc. as needed.

Legal advice and contract negotiation
• Provide support and negotiate agreements with suppliers, vendors and customers consulting with key stakeholders within Amadeus as necessary;
• Draft agreements and templates for new products and solutions;
• Participate in negotiations, where necessary in person;
• Pilot integration of Nexwave products & solutions with other Amadeus Products;
• Provide daily support on adhoc exploration projects leveraging new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence;
• Prepare and review end-user facing documentation where relevant (e.g CheckMyTrip);
• Align with BU lawyers on contract drafting, strategy and/or negotiation guidelines (e.g. Go-to-market for TRU);
• Keeping abreast of developments and changes in law, practice and regulatory framework which may impact Nexwave, Lift, A4D initiatives and raise awareness to business teams;
• Provide adhoc support to Amadeus For Developers on launch of new APIs, organization of hackathons or other adhoc requirements;
• Instruct external counsels where necessary and manage related cost and provision of advice;
• Work with senior manager who would be providing on-the-job training, supervision and mentoring if required.

Support to Global Purchasing and Strategic Partnerships
• Provide support and negotiate agreements with vendors (IT services, software, hardware) in collaboration with Global Purchasing team;
• Facilitate contracting process with partners & vendors leveraging new technology (e.g. Artificial Intelligence);
• Work closely with internal stakeholders on third-party risk management;
• Support on complex deals with Strategic Partners of Amadeus as required;
• Support on the implementation of Amadeus Partner Program in collaboration with relevant BU lawyers;
• Maximize efficiencies by working on guidelines, templates and standardized/automated contracts.

About the ideal candidate
• University Degree in Law, master’s degree in law (preferred);
• From 3 to 7 years relevant work experience in big law firm, ideally in commercial, TMT or IP&IT department (other departments are welcomed too).

Skills:
• Commercial mindset and good business acumen;
• Good drafting and negotiation skills;
• Ability to work in an agile mode and to think out-of-the-box;
• Strong interest for innovation projects and new technologies (Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, IoT etc.);
• Legal English, Other languages are a plus;
• Works well under pressure.
