We are looking to introduce a temporary new Accounts Assistant to assist and support the Ledger Accountant in the effective running of the Purchase Ledger in the Finance team, through the day to day delivery of the accounting process.

Role responsibilities
• Accurately post transactions to the Finance System.
• General admin duties to support the smooth running of the department.
• Deliver accurate, timely completion of ledgers to meet monthly deadlines.
• Chase invoice approval and create reports as required.
• Deal with basic accounts queries.
• Produce ad-hoc cheques as required.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Provide cover to assist in the production of other payment types when necessary.

You will bring the following skills and experiences to our team:
• Accounts data entry experience desirable.
• An accountancy or business related qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of working in a finance department.
• Computer knowledge with the ability to quickly learn new software.
• Good Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a good ability to interact with others.
• Customer focused.
• Logical thinker with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to organise yourself and your work to meet set deadlines.
