Job Description

Hours: Part-time/1-day a Week

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent, Bank/Freelance

Spire Occupational Health (Spire OH) - part of the Spire Healthcare Group - is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Technician to support our Occupational Health Services on a bank or permanent part-time basis for our client in Glenrothes Scotland.

This is an exciting opportunity for Spire OH where you will be independently managing health surveillance clinics, handling tasks on client sites and providing confidential, accurate reports in various formats.

As an Occupational Health Technician, there will be ad hoc travel to client sites in Scotland as well as weekly travel to Glenrothes, therefore access to a vehicle and valid UK driver's license is essential in this position.

Essential Requirements
• Work experience as an Occupational Health Technician.
• Experience or exposure in the Healthcare, Medical, Sport Science sector or similar.
• Level 3 Maths and English.
• Access to a vehicle and a valid driving license for travel to client sites.
• Strong IT Skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Undertaking health screening procedures including general baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
• Testing for Drug and Alcohol.
• Carrying out fitness for work medicals.
• Undertaking health surveillance activities.
• Delivering health promotion activities.
• Ensuring all medical information is accurately recorded.
• Responsible for looking after the equipment and ensuring it is serviceable, clean, and fit for purpose.
• Providing support to the Occupational Health team when needed.

• Valid and up-to-date DBS Certificate.
