Job Description
To complete a three-year Process Operator Modern Apprenticeship at the Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre.
• Year 1: Attend college to study National Certificate Units and attain a Performing Engineering Operations SVQ Level 2.
• Years 2 and 3:
• Attend college day release to study and attain a Higher National Certificate in Chemical Engineering.
• Shadow competent Manufacturing Technician Shift Teams on site to attain a SVQ Level 3 in Process Industries Operations – Controlling Process Operations.
• Help operate complex manufacturing plants to ensure safety, health, and environmental standards are met.
• Assist with first line diagnostics, problem solving, and maintenance.
• Conduct testing to confirm quality and monitor process conditions.
This role involves elements of shift working and helping to operate and monitor complex process control systems for manufacturing plant processes.
Qualifications
• Previous work experience (all types considered).
• National 5 Maths Grade C or equivalent.
• National 5 English Grade C or equivalent.
• National 5 Chemistry Grade C or equivalent.
