Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This key role oversees complex financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue, cash receipts, and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:
Revenue Recognition: Manage daily activity from ticketing and contributions subledger (Tessitura), and assist with GL setup as necessary.
Monthly Revenue Management: Ensure accurate monthly revenue recognition for concert sales, special events, and education activities.
Complex Reconciliations: Responsible for various reconciliations and journal entries to maintain accurate balances, including bank accounts, deferred revenue, restricted revenue, and merchant receivables.
Chargeback Response: Oversee chargeback responses with merchants and internal departments.
Accounts Receivable: Prepare invoicing and/or journal entries, and follow up with requesting departments on aged receivables.
Cash Receipts: Coordinate with departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of cash receipts (e.g. wires, ACH payments, and stock gifts).
Sales Tax Compliance: File sales tax returns for merchandise revenue and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Financial Audit Support: Assist with timely preparation of supporting schedules for the annual financial audit and ++0 tax return as needed.
Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist with financial analysis and other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:
Detail-Oriented Team Player: A detail-oriented and highly organized team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional staff.
Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Accounting Expertise: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA a plus.
Progressive Accounting Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, and a thorough knowledge of GAAP.
Intermediate Excel Skills: Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, sumif, if, conditional formatting, and complex nested formulas.
Financial Systems Experience: Experience with financial systems, especially Sage Intacct, and/or Tessitura a plus.
