Job Description
About the Role: We are seeking an Investigative Data Technician to join our team at the New York City Department of Investigation. As a key member of our investigative unit, you will play a critical role in supporting our investigators by gathering and analyzing data. Your responsibilities will include conducting data analysis, developing reports, and maintaining databases.
Responsibilities:
Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns
Develop reports to present findings to stakeholders
Maintain databases to track data and ensure accuracy
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions
Stay updated on the latest data analysis software and industry trends to enhance service offerings
About You:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university is required
Four years of satisfactory full-time experience in an industrial or governmental agency in the field of investigation, auditing, law enforcement, security, inspections, or in a major operational area of the agency is preferred
Experience with data analysis software and tools is essential
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data is required
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders is essential
