Job Description

We are seeking an Interior Technician to join our New York studio. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience preparing interior contract documents and design drawings, assisting project teams in producing high-quality technical documentation, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.



Key Responsibilities

· Assist in the development of construction documents, ensuring alignment with design intent.

· Prepare and modify interior design drawings, including plans, elevations, and details.

· Coordinate technical documentation and drawing sets for various project phases.

· Ensure all documents comply with building codes, industry standards, and The Switzer Group’s best

practices.

· Conduct site visits, field measurements, and reviews to verify existing conditions and document

changes.

· Research and recommend appropriate materials, furnishings, and construction methods.

· Support coordination efforts between disciplines, vendors, and contractors.

· Assist in the review of shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.

· Utilize CAD/BIM software to develop and refine design and technical drawings.



Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in interior design or architecture,

with a focus on corporate interiors.

· Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

· Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, and material applications.

· Knowledge of building codes and ability to incorporate regulations into technical documents.

· Experience in 3D modeling software (SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, or equivalent) is a plus.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
