Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Post Production Technician IV to join our team at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in film and video production, with excellent technical skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a wide range of production equipment, including cameras, sound equipment, and editing software
• Provide technical support for students and faculty, including equipment troubleshooting and repair
• Instruct students on equipment operation and maintenance, and conduct individual and group training workshops
• Collaborate with department staff to plan and execute productions, including scheduling, budgeting, and logistics
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance student learning outcomes
Requirements:
High School diploma and relevant technical training or equivalent required. 2-3 years of related experience providing customer support in a production-related environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Strong knowledge of film and video production principles, practices, and technologies. Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and software, including Avid and ProTools. Physical stamina to lift and move equipment as needed.
