LINE COOK JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions:
Prepare menu items according to recipes and/or special requests
Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
Safely use and operate tools and equipment, including knives
Effectively communicate to perform job requirements
Multitask calmly under pressure
Work in a crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
Able to move and lift up to 50 pounds
Stand and walk for an entire shift
Key Responsibilities:
Follow portioning controls and par levels
Maintain food safety and quality standards
Read a thermometer correctly
Communicate food delays or issues to Coordinator
Maintain menu item counts
Accurately account for all items coming out of the station
Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines
Get along well with others and be a team player
