Job Description

Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Software Engineer to provide full-stack software development for the backend and frontend architectures of a highly-scalable product solution currently under development. This position is Hybrid/Remote to customer's Washington, DC office location.



What you will do

The candidate will need to be able to effectively maintain, debug, and advance the features of the production system by working effectively as one of several developers on a team. To do this, you must understand how to use Git source control, Jira ticketing for bugs and features, and documentation development on Confluence. For this specific role, a developer should be familiar with most of the technologies listed below and is expected to remain flexible to changes in the technology stack and to learn new skills independently as the needs of the product change over time.



What you need to have

TS-SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related fields
Extensive use of software development or three years of demonstrated practical experience in software development
Three years of Python experience or certifications
AWS developer associate or higher certification
Experience with software testing to include unit testing and the use of testing frameworks on both the backend and frontend


What we'd like you to have

Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle.
Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Experience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, User Story development, and refinement.
Experience with Confluence and Jira.
Experience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite.
Ability to be on-site 60% of the time at a client SCIF located in Washington, D.C.
Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members.
