Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, in a fast-paced environment such as an urgent care facility or a Level I Trauma Center. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Location: Sibley Washington, DC
Full-Time, Monday to Friday, Day
Duties

Perform diagnostic evaluations using X-ray equipment and ensure accurate imaging results.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to determine appropriate imaging procedures for patients.
Maintain patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and support.
Conduct sonography and nuclear medicine procedures as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Assist in emergency medicine situations by providing timely and accurate imaging services.
Keep detailed records of all imaging procedures performed, including patient information and technical data.
Ensure that all imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning according to established standards.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology and medical imaging technologies.
Required details on the Job Description below:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
Current DC and/or Maryland Radiologic Technologist licensure required.
ARRT certification required.
Proven experience conducting X-Rays.
Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations and medical office procedures.
Organizational and multitasking skills.
Appearance, behavior, and communication skills must promote excellent customer service.
Upholds HIPAA regulations.
Complies with all OSHA mandates for dosimeter readings and quality assurance.
Ability to adjust to changing situations.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
