We are a venture-backed company that has completed a successful Series B funding round, securing $46M in late 2026. We are now looking for a talented Software Engineer (Backend/Data) to join our team and work on data products that drive the core of our business.

We want to collaborate with teammates based in the San Francisco Bay area who share our enthusiasm for building and supporting machine learning pipelines that scale not just computationally, but also in terms of flexibility, iteration, and collaboration. Your Role and Responsibilities

Data Infrastructure Development
We need your expertise to develop data infrastructure that can ingest, sanitize, and normalize various types of medical data, such as electronic health records, journals, established medical ontologies, crowd-sourced labeling, and other human inputs.

Building Performant Interfaces
You will be responsible for creating performant and expressive interfaces to the data.

Large-Scale Cloud-Based Machine Learning
We require your skills to create infrastructure that enables us to scale up data ingest and large-scale cloud-based machine learning.

Requirements

Software Engineering Experience
We are looking for a teammate with at least 2 years of software engineering experience in a production setting.

Relevant Project Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience developing backend projects, integrations, data pipelining, infrastructure, etc., in a production setting.

Problem Solving Skills
You should possess problem-solving skills and first principles thinking.

Computer Science Principles
A strong foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, logic, etc., is required.

Backend Coding and Systems Design
Hands-on experience with backend coding and/or systems design using best practices in a company setting is essential.

Effective Communication and Collaboration
Excellent communication and exceptional collaboration skills are necessary for this role.

Bonus Points

Coding Proficiency
Proficiency in coding with Python or another modern backend language is a plus.

Healthcare Data Expertise
Experience with wrangling healthcare data and/or HIPAA is highly valued.

Data Labeling and Acquisition
Candidates with experience managing large-scale data labeling and acquisition will be given preference.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary
The salary range for this position is $100,000 USD - $175,000 USD.
