Accountant - Now Hiring

Our client, Sacramento is seeking a Accountant to join their team. As a Accountant, you will be part of the Housing Redevelopment Agency primarily will be working on reviewing journal entries and reviewing General Ledger accounts. This person would need to perform technical and professional accounting functions in the analysis, interpretation, recording and reporting of the agency's financial transactions.

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Sacramento

Pay Range: $32.+5

What's the Job?
Daily Office Tasks: Respond to inquiries and prepare various documents using Excel, Access, Word, and other software.
Internal & External Reporting: Generate and review financial reports, prepare budgets, financial statements, and grant-related schedules.
Analysis & Reconciliation: Review financial data for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile various accounts.
Budgeting: Assist with budget compilation, data gathering, and budget amendments.
Agency Support & Special Projects: Review contracts, verify funding, assist other divisions, and manage special projects like HUD drawdowns and procedure drafting
