Software Development Engineer

Ambitious and innovative Software Development Engineers are needed to join Amazon's Customer Engagement Technology (CET) team. This team is responsible for developing technology solutions that enhance customer service operations, such as self-service and automation features.

About the Role:
We're looking for a talented SDE to work on a large-scale enterprise software program. The successful candidate will be part of a global Product and Technology team, collaborating with senior engineers to drive innovation and shape the next generation of customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior software engineers to design and develop innovative services.
Develop services that enable business units to launch customer-facing features, such as chat, voice capabilities, and help products.
Lead the global expansion of services, ensuring high-quality outcomes and implementing instrumentation for metric monitoring.
Leverage next-generation engineering systems, machine learning systems, and Generative AI to deliver unparalleled customer service experiences.
Utilize GenAI for enhanced issue understanding, automated resolutions, and guided workflows.
Work closely with business partners and leadership to shape product vision and design robust systems.
Employ development methodologies such as SCRUM, test-driven development, and continuous deployment.
Deliver projects based on realistic timelines and resource constraints.

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholder teams within Amazon to drive collaboration, influence priorities, and ensure alignment with shared objectives.

What We Offer:
A competitive salary range from $12+,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on location.

Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
