Job Summary

Responsible for operating, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the hospital & boiler plant, auxiliary equipment, emergency generators/switch gear, and related process equipment. Proficient in all job functions of Facilities Maintenance Technician I. Tutors Tech I and assists Tech III. Reports to Supervisor of Plant Operations.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement:

Three years in boiler or hospital operation and equipment repair. Intermediate knowledge of pump repair, brazing, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC equipment boiler operation, plumbing, and blueprint reading. Knowledge of boilers, chillers, absorbers, cooling towers, pumps, computers, and hospital-related equipment. Intermediate computer skills (preferred). Excellent customer service skills.
Minimum License Requirement:

Must be 21 years of age or older; must have (2) years of continuous driving experience in the state of California. If a license is suspended, the experience record begins from the time of license reinstatement; must have no major convictions (e.g. DUI/DWI, hit and run, driving with suspended license, reckless driving, alluding police, open containers, exhibition of speed (racing), negligent driving);

must have no more than one (1) moving citation in a three (3) year period; must have no more than one (1) at-fault accident in a three (3) year period. Accidents will be considered at-fault unless evidence is provided (e.g. police report and/or letter from insurance company) showing the incident as not at-fault.

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm and/or 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Pay Range: $23.15 - $34.73
