Job Description
At Neurocrine Biosciences, we pride ourselves on having a strong, inclusive, and positive culture based on our shared purpose and values.
We know what it takes to be great, and we are as passionate about our people as we are about our purpose - to relieve suffering for people with great needs, but few options.
Our company is dedicated to discovering and developing life-changing treatments for patients with under-addressed neurological, neuroendocrine, and neuropsychiatric disorders.
About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant at our biopharmaceutical company, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing our financial operations.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, preparing detailed financial reports, and supporting our month-end close process.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, and experience working in a public company or public accounting firm.
Your Contributions:
Conduct complex account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger, adhering to public company standards and regulations.
Lead the month-end close processes in compliance with public company requirements, accounting for research and development studies, and reviewing various account balances and transactions.
Ensure strict adherence to GAAP, SOX, and company policies, and assist in preparing financial audits.
Collaborate with the Business and Finance teams to analyze expense trends and provide valuable insights for decision-making.
Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements, focusing on aligning with public company standards and enhancing accounting controls and processes.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, sharing your valuable public company experience and best practices.
