About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled locksmith to join our team at the Fullerton Joint Union High School District. As a locksmith, you will be responsible for maintaining the security of our schools by performing skilled lock maintenance work, including installation, adjustment, and repair of keyed and combination locks.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in locksmith work. You must also possess a valid State of California Class C Driver's License and be knowledgeable about materials, tools, equipment, and methods used in the maintenance and repair of locks, as well as safety requirements and key making and master-keying practices.

You will work under supervision to inspect, diagnose, and repair or adjust keyed and combination locks, as well as install, repair, and adjust door closers. You will also rebuild various types of locks, change lock combinations, and maintain master keys for the district, schools, and related facilities.

Responsibilities include requisitioning and maintaining locks, lock parts, and keys, and repairing panic bars and other exit hardware. We are looking for a skilled and experienced locksmith who can establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
