Software Engineer Leader

As a Senior DSP Software Engineer at L3Harris, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced digital signal processing algorithms for various applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate these solutions into products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, power consumption, and memory usage.

Job Description:

Lead the design and development of advanced DSP algorithms for audio and data communications processing.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects to integrate DSP solutions into products.
Conduct simulations and performance analysis to validate and refine DSP algorithms.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in DSP technology and apply new techniques and methodologies to improve existing solutions.
Contribute to the strategic direction of DSP solutions and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Able to obtain a US security clearance.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in DSP software engineering.
Preferred Additional Skills:

Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design.
Development experience with Linux OS.
Proficiency with C, C++.
Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core design and/or real-time operating systems.
Experience with object-oriented design.
Understanding of design, implementation, and testing of large software systems.
Experience with software emulators/debuggers.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment; good interpersonal and communication skills.
Creativity in problem solving.
