Position: Operations and Maintenance Technician I - SUMMER SEASONAL
TRUCKEE TAHOE AIRPORT DISTRICT
OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I
FULL-TIME SEASONAL
(May 2026 – September 2026)
Wage: $28.51 – $3+.20/hour (DOE)

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District’s Operations and Maintenance Department seeks an individual for a full-time, seasonal OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I.
A successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic, willingness to cooperate with teammates, the ability to exercise initiative, and the ability to perform all work safely. This is an entry-level position. Experience in general aviation airport operations and aviation communications is a plus. This position places an emphasis on airport operations, customer service and sales, aircraft fueling, ramp services, janitorial duties, airfield maintenance, and airport security.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license with no uninsurable convictions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms. Work is performed in all climatic and lighting conditions inside and outside. Work is often performed in noisy and hazardous conditions near moving equipment and aircraft.
Employees work with and near hazardous materials and fluids. Employees may be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 60 pounds or more) during the course of the workday. The position shall be contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical exam, a drug screen, and a background check.
The position works four (4), ten (10) hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. The work schedule and/or hours are subject to change, and must be willing to report to work various days with flexible hours.
