Software Engineer Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to develop world-class privacy-focused platform services that enable many product features and privacy-preserving experiences.

Description

This role is part of a high-leverage team designing, building, and growing Apple's foundational privacy-focused platform enabling many of Apple's signature apps and experiences.
The work impacts over a billion users and is essential to the success of Apple's growth in services and our Apple Intelligence roadmap.
Responsibilities

Partner with teams across Apple to develop features and functionality to enable new experiences in the Apple ecosystem.
Improve the scalability, availability, and performance of our services.
Evolving the design and architecture to support continued growth across multiple dimensions.
Partner with SRE to triage, investigate, and remediate production issues.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience.
Experience designing, implementing, and operating highly scalable web services.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to independently learn and drive projects from simple ideas to production.
User-focused approach prioritizing user experience and data privacy.
Leadership skills to leverage individual abilities to produce results.
Preferred Qualifications

Languages: Java, or similar object-oriented languages.
Technology: Kubernetes, Cassandra.
Knowledge: Privacy, Security, Cryptography, Distributed Systems, Networking.
