Software Engineer, Data

Software Engineer, Data, DoorDash, Inc., Seattle, WA. Work with business partners and stakeholders to understand data requirements. Collaborate with engineering, product teams and third parties to collect required data. Design, develop and implement large scale, high-volume, high-performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse. Develop and implement data quality checks, conduct QA, and implement monitoring routines. Improve reliability and scalability of ETL processes. Manage a portfolio of data products that deliver high-quality, trustworthy data. Onboard and support other engineers. Participate in any company-wide training programs (e.g., WeDash).

Telecommuting Permitted up to 50%. (SWED-S-302-WA).

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range - $228,000 - $342,000/yr. Standard Company Benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline plus three (3) years of experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis.

Qualifying experience must include the following skills (which may be gained concurrently);

• Database fundamentals and distributed computing
• Distributed eco-systems and real-time streaming technologies: Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis
• DataBases/Data-Warehouses including Snowflake, Redshift, DynamoDB, or Hive
• Python, SQL, and Java
• AWS Glue or Airflow ETL orchestration and workflow management
• Tableau, Looker, or QuickSight reporting tools.

Up to 10% domestic travel possible based on business need.
