Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all manufacturing and facility equipment. Identify, procure and maintain inventory of spare parts. Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment. Record / maintain machine maintenance logs. Monitor facility for any code violations, safety issues or concerns, electrical, mechanical or plumbing repairs.
Maintain a factory that complies with OSHA requirements and regulations.
Job Requirements:
· Develop and maintain a Total Productive Maintenance program.
· Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical systems to the proper component level and replace/repair as appropriate.
· Perform preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment, calibration of instruments, and maintain compliant operation of systems.
· Setup and maintain spare parts inventory.
· Responsible for all major or minor repairs and for assisting operators in diagnosing operator adjustments.
· Identify root cause of equipment failure and return equipment to working order quickly and efficiently.
· Create and review equipment operation and maintenance standard operating procedures.
· Program production equipment for optimum efficiency.
· Train others in the proper methods of routine daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance of all equipment within the facility.
· Perform all necessary machine tool alignments within the facility.
· Source and properly supervise outside services, as required, when expertise is not resident within facility.
· Provide for a cost effective method of maintaining minimal downtime due to routine maintenance or machine failure.
· Facilitate and coordinate all new equipment installations and relocation within the facility.
· Support all relocation of existing equipment within the facility.
· Provide technical expertise to responsible departments for successful maintenance of equipment.
· General building and facilities maintenance.
Experience:
· 2+ plus years experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician in a production environment; 5 years preferred.
· Must have ability to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical production equipment and associated pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical circuits at the component level.
· Ability to use various hand tools and read / understand blueprints and/or schematics.
· Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with machine operators and all levels of management. Fluency in both English and Spanish is considered a plus.
· Must be available for overtime and off-hours support of production equipment.
· Pay rate based on experience
Education:
Associates Degree in a technical discipline or Technical / Trade School certification in mechanical, electrical or hydraulic maintenance preferred.
