Job Description

The Port of Seattle is seeking a Seasonal Commercial Driver to transport passengers safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B with a Passenger (P1) endorsement and a Department of Transportation Health Card.

Job Description:
This is a seasonal position expected to begin on a designated date and last no later than a specified date. Applications will be reviewed regularly, and interviews may be conducted prior to the close date.

Operate 40' passenger buses with automatic transmissions along a fixed route according to time schedules, complying with all traffic regulations.
Perform routine pre and post-trip walk-around visual inspections to check for damage to vehicle and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
Report any defects to duty supervisor and file appropriate trip reports using an inspection application.
Use a radio system to communicate with other drivers, supervisors, and base operations via established radio procedures.
Attend training and staff meetings as required.
Respond to airport emergencies as needed.
May be required to monitor fuel levels and perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner.
The successful candidate must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.

Requirements:
Valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B with a Passenger (P1) endorsement.
Department of Transportation Health Card.
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week), with flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of employment and maintain residency during employment with the Port of Seattle.
