Job Description
Ochsner Health System is a leader in innovative healthcare solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team. As a clinical professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of serving, healing, leading, educating, and innovating.
Your responsibilities will include performing routine nuclear medicine procedures, serving as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students, and adapting to changing situations and prioritizing tasks effectively. You will also be responsible for verifying physician orders and procedures, using radiology information systems to facilitate care, and explaining procedures to patients to ensure their understanding.
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You should also be proficient in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and safety and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have completed an approved nuclear medicine program, hold relevant certifications, and have experience in a similar role.
