Employee Health And Safety Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Employee Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, this individual will be responsible for promoting health and safety among employees through the development and implementation of an employee health program. The program will include disease detection, prevention, and treatment initiatives.

Main Duties:
The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care using evidence-based practices and protocols. They will follow up on employee illnesses and injuries, provide guidance and support to colleagues, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. A strong understanding of the nursing process and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care are essential requirements for this role.

Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications is also necessary. Relevant certifications, such as ACLS and Occupational Health certification, are highly desirable.
