Job Description

An opportunity is available to join our People and Culture team as a People Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term role. Reporting to the Head of People Partnering this role is responsible for managing complex employee matters, providing expert guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, while ensuring adherence to our Enterprise Agreement, polices, procedures and best practice.

Day to day you will:

Collaborate closely with employees, people leaders, and people partners to manage effective investigation and resolution strategies.

Investigate complex employee issues and develop solutions that align with business objectives while mitigating industrial relations risks.

Provide advice and guidance to people leaders on performance coaching, grievance handling, workplace investigations and disciplinary actions.

Work closely with business partners to support People & Culture initiatives.

Maintain high service standards by providing timely communication, proactive support, and consistent follow-through with stakeholders.

Tertiary level qualifications in HR and/or equivalent industry experience, in a large complex, industrialised organisation.

Proven experience in a Case Manager or Generalist HR role, with a focus on industrial relations and employee relations matters.

Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Advanced communication and facilitation skills, with a pragmatic approach to resolving issues.

Proven ability in stakeholder management, demonstrating a proactive approach to issue resolution and reporting.

Resilient and a solution-oriented, with a strong ability to navigate and overcome challenges.
