Our fun and outdoorsy family in Freshwater are seeking a nurturing, proactive, and positive mother's helper/nanny to care for their 7-month-old baby while supporting her exciting developmental journey.

The nanny will engage with the baby in creative, age-appropriate activities that foster her growth, all while ensuring her feeding and changing needs are met. The family also encourage the nanny to bring their own ideas for play and exploration, allowing the nanny to make a real impact in her early years.

The family dynamic includes Mum studying at home, and Dad working from home during some afternoons. While Mum will generally be around, she will often need uninterrupted time for study or run personal errands, and the nanny will need to step in and care/entertain their 7-month-old during those times.

In addition to caring for the 7-month-old, the nanny will assist with child-related duties, like baby laundry, meal prep, and tidying up baby play areas. The ideal candidate will also help with light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and organizing shared spaces. As part of the family, the nanny will also take care of a few light duties related to their indoor/outdoor cat, including offering affection, feeding, and topping up the automatic feeder when needed.

Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

Building a strong relationship with the children and family
Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
Supporting the Mum
Organising and planning fun, creative, and engaging activities
Managing child-related household chores
Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for the children
Maintaining/learning all aspects of the family's routine
To apply, you MUST have the following experience, attitude, and qualifications:

Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain ASAP)
A minimum of 3+ years of experience working full-time with children
A minimum of 2 Australian-based child-related references
Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP)
Up-to-date Infant CPR
Current National Criminal Record Check
Excellent communication skills
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 17 per week
