Position Title: Health Care Aide/Clinic Assistant

Job Status: Term Position – Full Time until February 2026

Reports to: Administrative Billing Manager and Clinic Business Operations Manager

Your Role:

Heartland Fertility and Gynecology Clinic is seeking a confident, professional, positive and experienced individual to join our team as a part time Health Care Aide/Clinic Assistant The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Administrative Billing Manager and will act as a member of the interdisciplinary heath care team, assisting with patient care, ensuring care, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and provide support services to the care teams as delegated.

Job Responsibilities:

· Adhere to all health and safety regulations and demonstrates safe work practices.

· Maintain and clean equipment and carry out other duties related to maintaining a safe, clean environment.

· Greeting, arriving and room patients, providing appointment instructions and appropriate supplies (changing, gowning).

· Ensuring efficient and timely room turn over including cleaning and sterilizing beds, equipment, and ultrasound machines.

· Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing ultrasound probes using the correct technique and Trophon.

· Cleaning, sterilizing, packaging and autoclaving medical instruments in relief of the Medical Device Reprocessing technician when needed.

· Working in conjunction with physician “pods” to assist with patient chart preparation within the EMR and paper charts.

· Responsible for stocking patient and procedure rooms ensuring that adequate amounts are available at all times.

· Demonstrates ability to provide continuous quality patient care.

· Training and providing relief coverage at the front reception desk including but not limited to answering phones, checking in patients, scanning and faxing, and emails.

· Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Position Requirements:

· Completed Grade XII or equivalent Required.

· Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide Course Required OR current enrollment in an RN or LPN nursing program in Manitoba.

· Previous experience working in a hospital or clinic setting would be an asset.

· Knowledge of Women’s Health medical terminology would be an asset.

· Current BCLS

· Excellent and efficient computer, communication, and organization skills.

· Experience with Accuro is preferred.

· Must be able to work effectively and productively both independently and as part of the Heartland team.

· Ability to respect and promote confidentiality.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Ability to multi-task as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 11 months

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
